Do you really know what goes on behind closed doors? In Puerto Rico, it may be more serious than you think. Did you know that 1 out of every 3 Puerto Rican women are or have been victims of domestic violence, both physical and/or emotional? Either way, it is still abuse and it is not to be tolerated. The "Oficina de la Procuradora de las Mujeres" is working hard to change these patterns by promoting awareness and education so that everyone knows that it is NOT okay to be abused at any level. They need our support by raising funds to strengthen the services of prevention and intervention in situations of violence and discrimination against women. Our voices will let them know that they are not alone and that there is indeed life without violence. Our support will allow them to seek shelter away from the violence so they can remake their life, strengthen their spirit and learn how to just say ENOUGH! Help us stop the violence against women!
