Meet Our Ambassadors

Rebecca Chervin - DC's Wine Country

Rebecca Chervin

I've been an avid runner my whole life, but my journey really took off in February 2013, when I ran my first half. After running through high temperatures and 100% humidity for over two hours, my first thought upon crossing the finish line was, "when can I do that again?!" I've now made it my goal to run a half or full  in every state and DC (32 states to go!). My favorite part of this journey has been all of the incredible people I've met and amazing friendships I've formed, both at races and through social media. I'm excited to be a Divas Ambassador because I love sharing my passion for running and helping others recognize their potential to accomplish things they never thought possible.

Elena Costa - San Francisco Bay

Elena Costa

I started running in 2005 in an effort to get fit and have since run over 100 races. I've completed multiple marathons and a few ultras, but the half marathon is my favorite distance. When I ran the Divas Half Marathon in San Francisco Bay, I felt a true camaraderie among my fellow runners.  I hope to be able to help create that wonderful experience for other running "Divas".

Running is one of my passions. It’s one of the things I enjoy the most.  Waking up in the morning, getting my run in and seeing that every sunrise is different, makes me feel blessed. Running has taken me to beautiful places and roads. Running has also brought amazing people into my life that have become family.  I love my running friends and I love supporting my running community. And this is why I am so excited to be a Divas Ambassador.  I love to introduce the love for running, for sunrises, for roads, paths, trails and fun events... because the experience is priceless!

Rachel DeVaughn - DC's Wine Country

Rachel DeVaughn

I am a full-time corporate office manager, fitness blogger, and a busy mom of 2 boys. After the birth of my second child 6 years ago, I decided it was time to get serious about losing weight and becoming healthier for myself and my family.  I have lost 90 pounds, become a fitness blogger to inspire others, and I'm a group leader for a no- profit fitness group for local women called "No Excuse Moms". I have run several races over the years, including my first half marathon, the Divas Half Marathon in DC's Wine Country. I am looking forward to participating in the Divas DC's Wine Country event in 2016.

  Renee Hollborn-Ricci - Long Island

Renee Hollborn-Ricci

All runners have goals and I am lucky enough to have met one of mine: a newly appointed Divas Ambassador! I'm excited to share all the great news about the Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series, especially the Long Island race.  As a past participant in this race and a runner for a few years now, I have made countless friendships over that time. That has inspired me to inspire other women out there to reach their goals. Follow my running journey which has its ups and down (pun intended) on my Gettin' Fit Fab Lifestyle Blog!

  Jodi Lederer - Long Island

Jodi Lederer

I'm a personal trainer and group fitness instructor who always has my next run vacation planned. I hated running until I was 45 years old and ran my first 5K on my 46th birthday. The Divas 5K in LI was my first BIG race, and I was totally hooked on races after that. I've run 12 half marathons in many different states and am training for my first full in January 2017. I became a trainer and fitness instructor full time to keep me accountable, which has helped me maintain an 80-pound weight loss for over 30 years. I'm excited to be a Divas Ambassador because it's a women's-focused race.  Plus, there's one in my hometown of Long Island, making it easy to share with my fellow "locals".  I hope to get other new runners loving the idea of "Girls Weekend" races.

I started off running in 2008 with the North Carolina Roadrunners Women's Beginner Running Group. In 2012, I stepped my running game up to half marathons with the Raleigh Galloway Training Program. In 2014, I completed the my first sprint triathlon with TRI It For Life. I have completed nine half marathons along with numerous 5Ks and 8Ks. I'm so excited about being chosen as a Divas Ambassador. I love the Divas North Myrtle Beach race and can't wait to share this opportunity with my running, cycling and tri families.

I fell in love with running when I graduated college and jumped into the working world. Running for me has been such an incredible outlet and I’ve made so many amazing friends through the sport. I’ve run 20+ marathons, a few ultras and too many half marathons to count. I love the energy of racing, especially the Divas Series!! I am so thrilled to be working with the Divas Ambassador Program because I love to share my passion for health and fitness with others.

Stacey Smith - St. Augustine Beach

Stacey Smith

Seven years ago, I started running with a Couch to 5K Program after having my last baby.  Since then, I've completed many races ranging from a 5K to a 50K and I'm set to complete my first 50-miler next January. Running is now something that truly makes me who I am and I would be lost without it. I love it so much I became a certified running coach and started my own business with a friend who loves it as much as I do. I am thrilled to be a Divas Ambassador because I love seeing the empowerment this race gives to women completing their first 1/2 or their 100th 1/2.  It is such a great course, has amazing crowd support and the BEST medal!

Jennifer Tyson - North Myrtle Beach

Jennifer Tyson

Exercise and fitness are my passion. I grew up playing sports, but quickly changed to running races in college. Now, I vary between endurance events, and love the training as much as the goal race.  I'm a certified run coach and group fitness instructor, because I realized I love sharing that passion with others. The Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series inspires women to reach goals and celebrate, making 13.1 miles so much fun.  I'm honored and excited to be an ambassador for the race!
