Lideliss - Puerto Rico
I am a mother of three girls. I've been an athlete for five years and own Luxury Fitness with my husband. I lost 62 pounds and strive to serve as an inspiration to others. I have done many races including 5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons. My first half marathon was in Villalba PR. Between the heat and the slopes, I thought I would never run one again! This year will be my fourth consecutive year participating in the Divas Half Marathon in Puerto Rico! I run for my health and for the health of others, especially for my friend who survived breast cancer. I am very excited to be a Divas Puerto Rico Ambassador! I get great satisfaction motivating my group of girls and look forward to sharing our passion for running through the Divas event!
Thommi - North Myrtle Beach
I started running in my mid-30’s because I wanted to accomplish something that I believed I could never do. I was 220+ pounds and unhappy in my career. I started out running 5Ks and slowly progressed to completing 2 full marathons to date. My motivation has changed over the years. I run now because I can. There are folks suffering from chronic illnesses and have the desire, but aren’t physically able. I run because I am grateful for life! I am excited about being a Divas Ambassador because I can encourage others to find JOY in running.
Minnie - San Francisco Bay
I have been racing for six years and have done over 100 races, completing 32 half marathons and one full marathon. I am a lifetime member of the Half Fanatics Group and manage a walk group and train my friends and family. I've also created Facebook pages for two walking groups that I manage. I have done the Divas San Francisco Bay race five years in a row. It's all about the medal! They are beautiful! I love the Divas Running Series!
Tracy - Chicagoland
I fell in love with running over 20 years ago when I joined the Army Reserve Program in college. Throughout the years, I've incorporated running into my everyday life! I volunteer to lead group runs for my kids' sports teams and my home community through Lululemon Deerpark. I also use sprints as a conditioning tool as a trainer at Life Time Vernon. My family and I do a lot of local 5K and half marathons, but my biggest race was the Chicago Marathon with my friend, Danni Allen, who won the Biggest Loser in 2014. We trained for a whole year together after she won to help keep her weight off and we nailed it in 4 hours! I'm excited to be a part of the Divas Series as I'm always happy to run with others and look forward to putting on a tutu and rocking a tiara with friends and family!
Rebecca - DC's Wine Country
I've been an avid runner my whole life, but my journey really took off in February 2013, when I ran my first half. After running through high temperatures and 100% humidity for over two hours, my first thought upon crossing the finish line was, "when can I do that again?!" I've now made it my goal to run a half or full in every state and DC (32 states to go!). My favorite part of this journey has been all of the incredible people I've met and amazing friendships I've formed, both at races and through social media. I'm excited to be a Divas Ambassador because I love sharing my passion for running and helping others recognize their potential to accomplish things they never thought possible.
Diana - Puerto Rico
As a busy mom of 3, I always thought to myself, "I'm not a runner," until one day my friend introduced me to the Divas Half Marathon & 5K. Something in me said, "Stop saying you can't! You can do this!" It was then that my training began. I started motivating my girlfriends, saying, "If I can do it, you can at least try!" In 2011, I was asked to be the Divas Announcer for the inaugural Divas Half & 5K in Puerto Rico. One week before the race, I ran the 13.1 mile route, so that on race day, as I announced all the names coming through the finish line, I would have a better understanding of what it takes to do the same. After this first Divas race, my passion for running grew and I ran several other Divas Half Marathons in the years to follow. I love motivating others like myself, moms and women that say they can't run, because that's what I used to say! Every year, I've organized a team of women to train so we can support each other and hold one another accountable in order to live a healthier and fit life. I love the girl power behind this race and I can't help but share my enthusiasm about the Divas Series!.
Alison - Chicagoland
I am a runner and have been for the past 20 years. I began running as a means to lose weight, but what I found was that running is much more than a means to an end. Through running I have found a source of joy like none other and I love to share this experience with others. I have participated in over 50 races from those that have hundreds of participants to those that have thousands. I have run all different distances from 5Ks to half marathons. I love the camaraderie of races and am so excited to be a part of the Divas Running Series. I am looking forward to helping inspire others discover the joy of running by helping them achieve their goal of running in the Divas Chicagoland 15K & 5K. ".
Rachel - DC's Wine Country
I am a full-time corporate office manager, fitness blogger, and a busy mom of 2 boys. After the birth of my second child 6 years ago, I decided it was time to get serious about losing weight and becoming healthier for myself and my family. I have lost 90 pounds, become a fitness blogger to inspire others, and I'm a group leader for a no- profit fitness group for local women called "No Excuse Moms". I have run several races over the years, including my first half marathon, the Divas Half Marathon in DC's Wine Country. I am looking forward to participating in the Divas DC's Wine Country event in 2016.

Renee - Long Island
All runners have goals and I am lucky enough to have met one of mine: a newly appointed Divas Ambassador! I'm excited to share all the great news about the Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series, especially the Long Island race. As a past participant in this race and a runner for a few years now, I have made countless friendships over that time. That has inspired me to inspire other women out there to reach their goals. Jodi - Long Island
I'm a personal trainer and group fitness instructor who always has my next run vacation planned. I hated running until I was 45 years old and ran my first 5K on my 46th birthday. The Divas 5K in LI was my first BIG race, and I was totally hooked on races after that. I've run 12 half marathons in many different states and am training for my first full in January 2017. I became a trainer and fitness instructor full time to keep me accountable, which has helped me maintain an 80-pound weight loss for over 30 years. I'm excited to be a Divas Ambassador because it's a women's-focused race. Plus, there's one in my hometown of Long Island, making it easy to share with my fellow "locals". I hope to get other new runners loving the idea of "Girls Weekend" races.
Trelle - Galveston
I began running about 10 years ago as part of a jujitsu class I was involved in. The school moved off Galveston Island, but I kept running. Up until January 2017, I had only participated in 5Ks and 10Ks. I was to run my first official half marathon, but it was canceled due to bad weather. My running partner and I decided to take the race up on their offer to run a full marathon. It was crazy, but people helped us raise $1,000 for The Scott Carter Foundation so we knew we had to complete this race. Crossing the finish line was an emotional experience, but I felt empowered. Running makes me feel strong and healthy. I run for those who cannot run. I lost my eyesight in 2001, but staying active continues to be very important to me. Finding running partners, to keep me off the dreadmill…I mean, treadmill, has kept me inspired and focused. I enjoy the Divas Running Series because I love the idea of celebrating women and shining and sparkling on purpose!
Jennifer - North Myrtle Beach
Exercise and fitness are my passion. I grew up playing sports, but quickly changed to running races in college. Now, I vary between endurance events, and love the training as much as the goal race. I'm a certified run coach and group fitness instructor, because I realized I love sharing that passion with others. The Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series inspires women to reach goals and celebrate, making 13.1 miles so much fun. I'm honored and excited to be an ambassador for the race!
